Crash Simulator

The Crash Simulation System is based on propelling a platform with a programmed speed and decelerated by means of an impact barrier, reaching the deceleration curves detailed in the different regulations. It is mainly used for assessing safety restraint components.

This type of system is the best-cost solution for conformity of production (COP), homologation and development tests. All auxiliary subsystems like HSV cameras, Lighting system or DAS are easily integrated in the Sled Testing System.

Main features:

  • Different propulsion methods: bungee cords and electric drive
  • Different sled platforms configuration, prepared for guidance rails and/or crash tracks, with the possibility to mount 1 or 2 seats
  • Deceleration barriers based on:
    • Polyurethane (PU) tubes
    • Bending bars
  • Velocity of impact up to 80 km/h
  • Payloads to be tested up to 1500 kg
  • Maximum deceleration up to 60 g
  • Track length from 20 m
  • Normative: ECE R16, R129, R17, FIA, FAR, etc.
  • Supply and integration of different equipment:
    • Seats according different regulations
    • Speedometer and stopping distance sensor
    • Data Acquisition Systems
    • Instrumentation and dummies
    • LED Lighting system
